EVERYDAY
Freeplay Commission Series 2021
A simple choice game based on small everyday battles with mental health, stress and depression.
This was my first small commission game and I wanted to ensure I could complete it within the allocated time with my own skills. I chose a simpe choice based game so I could focus on the subtle storytelling.
A PEACEFUL GARDEN
Aesthetics
I used this assignment during university to challenge myself to focus on a strong aesthetic. Created after my first trip to Japan I was heavily inspired by their beautiful gardens and their ink paintings. I wanted to create a walking simulator of a Japanese garden in the style of an ink painting. Although I struggled with the modelling and conveying a 2D aesthetic into a 3D space I enjoyed the challenge.
FINDING SERVICE
Walking Simulator
This was an assignment I completed in my Level Design class at RMIT during my Bachelor’s Degree. We were tasked with creating a walking simulator that told story without using text. I created a story of an individual staying with family in the country but they need to send a text to someone. Unfortunately there is no service at the house so they have to journey through the woods and to the service tower. It’s a game focusing on nature and appreciating small moments in time.
FOREST TEMPLE
Mystical Game
Forest Temple was a game I created during my second year at University. Players must find magical spirits in the forest and collect their masks to restore peace to the forest. This was the first major game I made at university that had start and an end. I modelled all the assets and created all of the coding for it. I was super pleased with the outcome of it.
